Inspection and repair service of Jahnell Kesterman GD-A1S710

GBS International performed a complete inspection and complete overhaul on this Jahnell Kesterman GD-A1S710 gearbox from one of our clients in Belgium. After a good test run, we transfered the Jahnell Kesterman GD-A1S710 gear unit back to the client.

Conclusion and recommendations

The axial planes of this used spare bearinghas already been machined for the use for both directions of rotation.The wedge surfaces of this used spare bearing appear to be smaller than visible on the GTW sleeve bearing data sheet. However, no machining of the axial plane is required.

Measured bore diameters of the bearing are just below or at the minimum tolerance specified by customer. 2 of the 6 measuring points were 0.01 mm below minimum specified values. No machining of the bearing bore is required.
